Farmers and Animal Rights Activists Battle it Out on Social Media

 SOURCE ET SUITE

LES FERMIERS AMERICAINS SE SENTENT MAL DEVANT L'AUGMENTATION DU NOMBRE DES VEGANS (CEUX QUI REFUSENT TTE SOUFFRANCE ANIMALE DANS LEURS ASSIETTES, NI VIANDES NI LAITAGES) ET PRETENDENT  RECUPERE DES CONSOMMATEURS EN MONTRANT UNE AUTRE IMAGE DE L' ELEVAGE
CEPENDANT COMME LE DIT CET EXCELLENT ARTICLE, ILS EVITENT DE PARLER DE L' ARRACHEMENT DU VEAU A SA MERE, DE L' EXTERMINATION DU PETIT VEAU MALE (SEULES LES FEMELLES SONT GARDEES VIVANTES  EN REMPLACEMENT DANS LA PLUPART DES CAS) .. L'ABATTAGE SYSTEMATIQUE DES ANIMAUX QUI NE PRODUISENT PLUS ASSEZ (OEUFS, LAIT) L' EUTHANASIE SYSTEMATIQUE QD UN ANIMAL EST MALADE ET GENERE D' IMPORTANTS FRAIS VETERINAIRES (SI FACILE DE TUER!!!)
LE SEUL MOYEN D' EVITER  DE RALENTIR, DE DIMINUER CES MALTRAITANCES ET CES DECES EST BIEN SUR DE STOPPER TTE CONSOMMATION  DE PRODUITS D' ANIMAUX
REGARDEZ LES IGLOOS A VEAUX DERRIERE LA VACHE QUI POSE, CELA NON PLUS ILS N' EN PARLENT  SANS DOUTE PAS!!!

The Other Side of the Story
What farmers are deliberately leaving out of their farm life posts is the disturbing truth which they know will make customers uncomfortable. There are no posts telling of the separation of mother and baby, docking of tales, mutilation of beaks and of course the slaughter, all of which is an integral part of the farming industry. These are the real issues which are making people turn away from meat and dairy products, and no amount of photos of happy cows and skipping lambs will disguise the ugly reality of animal exploitation.
In efforts to ensure the public know the whole story (gory details and all), animal rights activists are using the hashtag to share posts such as “‘We care for our animals’ say farmers while separating babies from their mothers” and “Milk is cruel. Baby cow crates as far as the eyes can see.”
While many small farmers want the chance to show that they are not the same as factory farms, they are only providing the public a skewed portrayal of reality, and one which leads people into a false sense of security about where their food is coming from.
99% of animal products still continue to come from factory farms, and while the scale of the cruelty may be less on smaller farms, it is still very present. Culling animals when milk and egg production doesn’t meet expectations, slaughtering excess males who have no use to the farmers, and killing animals when medical treatment is too costly  are all everyday farming realities. The only way to ever completely avoid being a part of these practices is by choosing to leave animals off your plates all together.
