Beyond Meat, a vegan meat alternative company has been taking over the U.S. market with their delicious plant-based burger, the Beyond Burger. Just recently, the company announced a partnership with Sysco, the largest food distributor in the U.S., which sells and distributes food products to restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, and schools. If that wasn’t enough, you can also now enjoy the tasty burger while catching the latest flick in a movie theater and find it on the menu of popular chains like TGI Friday’s.
Beyond Burger is also offered in the meat capital of the world: Hong Kong, which consumes more meat per capita than any other country. And it looks like the Beyond Burger’s overseas reach is continuing to expand!
According to just-food, Beyond Meat is planning to enter the UK food market in early 2018. Executive Chairman Seth Goldman says that Beyond Meat has been talking to potential customers in both retail and the food service industry, placing emphasis on retail options.
“In the case of the U.K., we have strategically decided this is a priority market,” Goldman said at a recent conference. “We want to find significant partners to go to sale quickly.”

See you soon, U.K.! Each Beyond Burger patty boasts an impressive 20 grams of plant-based pea protein per patty, not to mention it contains no soy, gluten, or GMOs.

The popularity of Beyond Burger isn’t surprising. More people than ever are reducing their meat consumption and opting for plant-based options instead. A recent report by global market research firm Mintel shows that more people than ever are open to trying meatless burgers, a trend that is being driven largely by Millennials; 64 percent have tried meatless burgers versus 28 percent of Baby Boomers.
We are living in a time where the food space is rapidly evolving. The Beyond Burger is just one of the new innovations in the plant-based food space that is helping those who still crave the taste and texture of meat to cut back. Not only is Beyond Meat seeking to change the way Americans eat, they have their sights set on what may very well be a global food revolution.
We are so glad to see more plant-based options become accessible, showing yet again that the future of food is indeed plant-based.
